James Lee Spencer's Obituary
Reed City - James Lee Spencer, 51, of Chase, passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 12, 2018, at Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital. He was born July 2, 1966, in Saginaw, the son of Daniel and Frances (O'Neil) Spencer, and moved to Big Rapids with his family after the death of his father in 1974. Jim was confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church and attended Big Rapids High School. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic, most recently for Mark Myers Equipment. He is survived by his brother David A. Spencer of Big Rapids; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by his mother in 2016. A Celebration of Jim's life will be Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the BR Eagles from 12-4 pm.
