Janet Marie Quinlan's Obituary
85, of (Blue Lake) Mecosta, MI died Monday, January 13, 2014 at her home.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, January 17, 2014 at St. Michaels Church in Remus, MI with Reverend Aaron Ferris and her brother, Reverend Edwin Kline, C.S.B. officiating. Burial will be in St. Michaels Cemetery in Remus, MI.
Friends may call at St. Michaels Church in Remus, Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A rosary service is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging (CFCA) and St. Michaels School Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the church.
Mrs. Quinlan was born December 21, 1928 in Grand Rapids, MI to Irene (Theisen) Kline and Leonard Kline. She married Joseph Quinlan, April 10, 1948. Janet and Joe were living testaments to their faith and they especially lived Hebrews 13-2 showing hospitality to strangers. Throughout the years they welcomed many into their home. We have treasured family in Mexico, Spain and around the world.
Janet is survived by her brother, Rev. Edwin Kline, CSB and her sister, JoAnn Adams and five children; Judy (Richard) Klenk, James (Sharon) Quinlan, Rev. Jack Quinlan, Jerry (Jeanette) Quinlan and Jillane (Thomas) Ray and many grandchildren who knew her as the “Blue Lake Grandma” and great-grandchildren who knew her as “Grandma Apple”.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
