Janice "Jan" Mary Wilson's Obituary
Janice (Jan) Mary Wilson, age 67, of Blanchard, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Corewell Health Butterworth Grand Rapids with her family by her side.Jan was born on February 28, 1957, to Carl and Vickie (Valeriote) Wilson in Guelph, Ontario. She moved to Hubbard Lake, Michigan when she was 7 years old where she resided until college. Jan graduated from Grand Valley State University as a Registered Nurse. She then went on to share her passion for caregiving in Arizona, New York, and Pennsylvania, in addition to Michigan. Jan also shared her passion for helping others through providing comfort to the less fortunate by passing out care and food packages to those in need.Jan enjoyed traveling, hiking, and taking her children and grandchildren on adventures. She also enjoyed fishing and going on picnics. After retiring as an RN, Jan dedicated her time to tending to and enjoying her grandchildren.Jan joined her parents, Carl and Maria (Vickie), and her brother, Keith, in heaven. Left to cherish Jan's memory are her children, Christopher (Danielle) of Lakeview, MI and Danielle (Marquis) of Phoenix, AZ; her six grandchildren, Josh, Mariah, Noah, Marquis, Addilyn, and Mariella; her siblings, Wayne (Shelly), Marianne (Rich), and Carl (Laura); and many nieces and nephews.To honor her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will take place at a later time.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research.
