Jean Crysler's Obituary
Reed City - Jean Crysler, 77, of Reed City, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 12, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, and later moved to the Big Star Lake area with her family. While there Jean met Harold Crysler, and they were married in 1949 and raised seven children. For 30 years, Jean worked as a Food Service Supervisor at Ferris State University until retiring. Jean was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed ceramics, arts and crafts, sewing, square dancing, cards, bingo, and most of all cooking and baking. Jean will be dearly missed by her husband of 60 years, Harold, and her children Shelia (Ernie) Guillemette, Debra (David) Baumunk, Penny (Bill) VanRingelsteyn, Deana (Pete) Norriss, Ross (Tammy) Crysler, Todd (Lori) Crysler, Blake (Julie) Crysler; 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; and step brothers and sisters, Lane (Pat) White, Pat (Marlene) White, Henry (Kim) White, Linda Titus and Micki White. Jean was preceded in death by her mother, Marie White. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family service is being planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mecosta County Medical Center Foundation for Home Health Care. Arrangements are entrusted to the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
