Jerry D. Plant's Obituary
Big Rapids - Jerry D. Plant, 72, of Big Rapids, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Mission Point of Big Rapids.
He was born December 8, 1947, in Marion, MI, the son of Ephram "Blackie" and Anna Jean (Weller) Kallas. Jerry attended Marion High School and then served his country in the U.S. Navy. He owned his own business making yard ornaments out of concrete. Jerry enjoyed his many trips to the casino with his brother Randy and sister Linda. (Bookacachoo!)
Jerry is survived by his three children, Jason Plant, Kerri Davis, and Jeffrey Plant; his siblings, Renee Harper, Terri Ferguson, Debbie McCoy, Linda Weber, Richard Kallas, and Randall Kallas; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife June, daughter Tammy Plant, his father, his mother and adoptive father Art Plant, and brothers, Michael and Dennis Kallas.
