Jo Ann Kirby's Obituary
Edmore-Jo Ann Kirby, age 80, of Grant (formerly of Blanchard) passed away at her home on Friday, March 12, 2021. She was born in Lansing, Michigan on December 2, 1940 to Lee and Esther (Richardson) Tucker. Jo Ann was raised in the Blanchard area where she attended the Montabella Schools, graduating in 1960. She lived on the Kirby Lake farm for 65 years. Jo Ann married Archie Kirby June 12, 1960 in Mt. Pleasant. Jo Ann was a farmer most of her life. Later in life she took a job working for Wolverine Worldwide for 13 ½ years. She was a member of the VFW Auxillary. Jo Ann enjoyed Gardening, reading, and fishing.
Jo Ann will be missed by her 7 children Rodney (Shelly) Christle of Florida, Sherry Hayden of Grant, Darlene (Rod) Hoover of Six Lakes, Mark Kirby of Edmore, Katherine Kirby of Texas, Michelle Mulnix of Grant; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Massey of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Allen Tucker of Mt. Pleasant.
Jo Ann was Preceded in death by her husband; son, Gary Christle and her parents.
Funeral services for Jo Ann will take place Monday, March 15, at 1:00pm at the Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore, MI. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The interment will take place following the service at the Vinewood Cemetery in Edmore, Michigan.
