Joan Elizabeth Large's Obituary
Joan Elizabeth Large, age 84 of Edmore, passed away early Monday, November 28, 2016. Joan was born November 2, 1932 in Lansing, Michigan the daughter of Clarence and Grace (Card) Whitaker. Joan was united in marriage to Charles Large on November 13, 1976 in Six Lakes, Michigan. She enjoyed going yard saling, cooking, bird watching and gardening. Joan also enjoyed visiting with Coffee Clutch Ladies; she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 5602 of Six Lakes Michigan. Joan had a gift to gab. The one thing about Joan is she always said what she thought and you always knew where you stood with her. But most of all Joan loved spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. Joan will be missed dearly.
Joan is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Charles, children; Judy (James) Hunter of Myrtle Beach, SC, William "Bucky" (Doris) Fleck of Six Lakes, MI, Chad Fleck of Six Lakes, Mi, Kelly Linton of Six Lakes and Tom (LuAnn) Vaughn of Tustin, MI, 9 grandchildren; Meagan Rice, Tyrus , Casey, Ally, and Dalton Fleck, Taryn Hopkins, Hailey and Lydia Linton and Sara Vaughn, 3 great-grandchildren; Gage Fleck, Tatum Rice and Gator Chapman, brothers; Robert (Mildred) Whitaker of Six Lakes and William (Patricia) Whitaker of Tampa, FL. Joan was preceded in death by her parents and son; Terry Fleck.
Funeral Services for Joan will take place Friday, December 02, 2016 at 12:00 Noon from Brigham Funeral Chapel-Edmore. Pastor Dale Murray to officiate. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Six Lakes, Michigan. Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 01, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 and again on Friday at 11:00 AM until the time of service. Those planning a memorial contribution are asked to consider to the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 5602 of Six Lakes Michigan.
