JoAnne May Winkler's Obituary
White Cloud - JoAnne May Winkler, 74, of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 2, 1940, in White Cloud, the daughter of Lawrence and Clara (Worth) Fuller, and graduated in 1959 from Mecosta High School. For many years, JoAnne worked in retail sales for Giantway and more recently with Walmart until her retirement. She was a member of the Big Rapids Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. JoAnne was also a tremendous cook and loved gardening. A wonderful mother and wife, JoAnne showed love to everyone she came in contact with. She was caring and beautiful person inside and out who loved life, her family and her friends, and will be greatly missed. On September 30, 1995, JoAnne married David W. Winkler, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Tammy (Andrew) Spring of Stanwood; 2 sons, Tim (Gwen) Akom of Negaunee and Nick (Lynne) Akom of Petersburg, TN; stepdaughter, Sandra (Mark) Welch of Big Rapids; six grandchildren, Samantha and Jake Spring; Jamie and T.J. Akom, and Chelsea and Matthew Welch; 2 brothers, Keith and Kenneth Fuller; and many nieces and nephews. JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ruby Easley and Dorothy Lindsey; and brothers, Raymond and LeRoy Fuller. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with Jack Alvey officiating. Burial will follow in the Goodwell Township Cemetery. JoAnne's family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
