Dear John. such a dear man...gentleman through and through with gentle heart. I met him years ago when I was a banker @ Canadian Lakes but got to know him through my library where he served on my library board for many years. For the past 10 years he was part of our book discussion group. He was the only male in the group,a fact he liked to remind his golfing buddies of . It was such a pleasure having him in that group, he loved to read, would take detailed notes, and shared not only insight. John often regaled us with tales of his life experiences that related to things in the book (or not) but we never tired of hearing him share. He definitely had a wealth of such experiences . even though there was quite an age difference between John and I we became friends. I looked forward to warm hugs I got from him every time I saw him. He referred to me as "Cory dear". he will be greatly missed in our book club and I WILL MISS HIM, my friend. my heartfelt condolences to his family. Heaven has gained a scholarly and gentlemanly angel!!!
