John William Cook's Obituary
Edmore- John William Cook, age 65, of Blanchard, passed away at his home on May 10, 2021. John was born to John and Phyllis (Crockett) Cook on July 28, 1955 in Edmore. He attended Montabella Schools graduating in 1973. John continued his education at Central Michigan University earning his bachelor's degree in mathematics graduating in 1977. He was employed by Group Actuaries of Grand Rapids for 20 plus years. He enjoyed doing yard work, playing the guitar and piano, working on the farm, drawing, and doing artistic things. John was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Edmore.
John is survived by his brothers, David (Cecelia) Cook of Livonia, William Cook of Edmore; sister, Jean (Douglas) Pierce of Cedar Springs.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday May 17, 2021 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore with Pastor Dan Barkholz officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:00am until time of service. Interment will take place at the Vinewood Cemetery in Edmore, Michigan.
