John George Finkbeiner's Obituary
John George Finkbeiner, age 81, of Baldwin, passed away peacefully with family by his side on February 20, 2025, in Clare, MI. He was born September 12, 1943, to Donna Mae Hoffman.
A 1961 graduate of Big Rapids High School, John proudly served in the United States Air Force for 13 years until he was honorably discharged. Following his military service, he and his wife Julie owned a successful jewelry business in Arkansas until they retired to Michigan in 1987. John enjoyed sharing his knowledge and philosophies with others and had a devoted following.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julienne Paquette, who passed away on January 5, 2001. John is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Glazier, of Paris, MI; his son, John P. Finkbeiner, of Ola, Arkansas; grandsons, Kenneth and Kevin Glazier, and Joshua and Jacob Finkbeiner. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, his sister, Karen (Bud) Youngs of Hawkins, four other sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
Per his wishes, cremation will take place, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to The Shriners Children’s Hospital at donate.lovetotherescue.org in honor of John.
