John Charles Smejkal's Obituary
Lakeview-John Charles Smejkal, age 62, of Sparta passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital. John was born in Ionia on July 19, 1957, the son of John and Marian (Mason) Smejkal.
John will be deeply missed by his loving partner, Shari Bruinekool-Mead; his daughter, Mariah May; granddaughter, Katelyn; sisters, Nancy (John) Gipson and Tammy (Ken) Skaggs; brother, Kenny Austin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother Terry, and many family and friends.
John will be laid to rest next to his father at Mt. Olivet Cemetery-Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Ionia, MI.
A Celebration of Life and interment will be scheduled at a later date.
