Jonah J Nye Perkins' Obituary
Jonah J Nye Perkins, age 12, passed away Tuesday May 11, 2021 due to complications of Covid. "JONAH BEAR" was a beautiful red headed boy who was full of giggles and huge smiles. He loved new people and never left anyone feeling like a stranger. He could always make you laugh with his funny face and his huge bear hugs. His favorite things were being on the computer, on you tube watching dinosaur videos and Elmo and Cookie Monster on Sesame St (and a few inappropriate ones he would come across, he was a young man you know!) He also loved to swim and swing.
His teachers and para pros and all his therapists were so wonderful with him. We don't know how we will get thru the life without you Jonah. You have touched so many people in your short time here. We know we will see you again in Heaven and that God will hold you in his arms until we are all together again.
Jonah is survived by his father and mother, John and Shannon Perkins; his two adoring brothers, Jakob and Javon Perkins; his paternal grandparents, John and Sandra Perkins, his maternal grandparents Mark and Sandy Kloeckner; aunts and uncles, Pam and Todd Brooks, Jonelle and Bill Ball, and Lori Kloeckner; great aunts and uncles, Kristy Drumm, Susan Kloeckner, RJ and Mary Ann Nye, Lorie and Scott Watters, Bonnie Roth; cousins, Jenae Snyder, Shane Brooks, Shanda Sieczkowski, Alyssa Teeters and Delaney Kloeckner-Tait; and two very special family friends, Amber Spohn and Carol Conrad.
He was preceded in death by Great Grandma Betty, Great Grandma Monie and Great Grandma Pat and Great Grandpa Papa Roy.
We would really like if everyone could be very casual coming to the visitation and the funeral. Jonah liked nothing better than be naked or at least pant less. We would like to honor his memory not in dress clothes but casual clothes.
Funeral Services for Jonah will take place at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore, with Pastor Bob Fall officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Lake Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Monday, May 17, 2021 at the Chapel.
Contributions in memory of Jonah may be made to the family.
