Jose "Tony" Rios' Obituary
Edmore - Jose "Tony" Antonio Rios, age 81, of Stanton, MI, passed away on April 3, 2017 at Sheridan Community Hospital, in Sheridan, Michigan. Jose was born on March 20, 1936, in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, the son of Herminio and Georgina Delgado Rios. He was raised in Jayuya and attended country schools. Jose was a farmer working with Agriculture his whole life. He was employed by Anderson Farms in Edmore, MI. His many hobbies included hunting, bowling, fishing, yard work, flowers, gardening, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. He loved joking and teasing his family.
Jose will be deeply missed by his companion and caregiver Nora Pool; sisters Minerva Rios and Jose Negron, Mery Rios and Heraquio Gonzalez; bothers Carmelo and Barbara Rios, Agustin and Sharon Rios, Clodomiro and Hilda Rios, Herminio and Milangra Rios Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jose was preceded in death by his parents Herminio and Georgina Delgado Rios.
Funeral services for Jose will take place on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 11:00 am at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore, MI with visitation one hour prior at 10:00 am. Burial will be in McBride Cemetery with a luncheon immediately following at the Stanton American Legion. Memorial contributions in Jose's memory may be made payable to Brigham Funeral chapel to assist the family with burial expenses. The family would like to thank Nora for the wonderful care she gave Tony.
