Joseph Banks Austin Sr.
January 30, 1940 - March 4, 2021
Born in Saginaw, MI on January 30, 1940 to Annabelle (Bassett) Seal.
Passed away March 4, 2021 at home with his loving wife Annie by his side after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Joseph B Austin and Annabelle (Basset)Seals, his brother, Owen Seals and a sister, Elitha Pickens.
He married the Love of his Life Annie C (Stephens) Austin on July 10, 1959. He said that it was love at ?rst sight. Together they started a beautiful family; raising
5 boys and 2 girls together. Joe, as he was lovingly known, dedicated his life to Jehovah in 1971 and was able to put in Pioneer hours until close to his passing at the Vestaburg, MI Congregation.
Joe loved his wife Annie unconditionally; his Nubian Queen as he would often call her. Joe loved to recite as well as write Poetry. He retired from Dow Corning in 2005.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Annie C Austin; children, Sylvia Cassell of Michigan, Joseph Austin Jr. of Georgia, Archer Austin of Ohio, Samuel (Edna) Austin of Texas, Gerald Austin of Arizona, Rouxanne Austin of Michigan and Raymond (Trudy) Austin of Michigan; two brothers, Eugene (Joyce) Seals of Michigan, Richard (Patricia) Seals of Florida and Coreane (Renie) Campbell of Michigan.
He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart and shared a special relationship with each one of them.
Joe married into quite a large family, leaving Loving brothers-in-law, sisters- in-law, nieces, great and great-great nieces, nephews, great and great- great nephews, and a host of cousins as well as GOOD friends.
The Memorial of Brother Joseph B Austin will be held Sunday March 21,2021
