Joseph "Joe" Michael Delaney's Obituary
Lakeview-Joseph "Joe" Michael Delaney, age 34, of Newaygo passed away unexpectantly at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. He was born in Lansing on November 16, 1988, the son of Douglas and Linda (Moore) Delaney. Joe was raised in Lansing, Colorado and Naperville, IL. He graduated from Naperville North High School in 2007 and went on to earn his associate degree in HVAC from the College of DuPage. Joe was employed in the heating and cooling industry in West Michigan for the past 7 years. He enjoyed playing guitar, listening to music, attending concerts, spending time outdoors, dirt biking, hiking and kayaking. Joe was a kindhearted, fun loving man who loved his family and especially adored his fiancé, Kristina. Joe will forever be missed and is survived by his fiancé, Kristina Marie Giant of Spring Lake; parents, Douglas and Linda Delaney of Coral; siblings, Sarah (Tony) Gill of Dyer, IN, Brian (Lisa) Delaney of Warrenville, IL, Lisa (Matt) Brady of Rockford; nieces and nephews, Ariana, Hannah, Silas and Ellie Brady, AJ, Isaac and Luke Gill. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emmett and Dolores Moore and Earl and Charlotte Delaney. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 31, 2023, at St. Frances de Sales Catholic Church in Lakeview with Father Pat Lagges officiating. Joe will be laid to rest at the Coral Cemetery. The family will greet friends for visitation from 2:00-6:00 PM on Sunday, July 30 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview. Rosary service will be at 5:00 PM led by Father William Zink.
