Joy DeeLite Standley's Obituary
Big Rapids-Joy DeeLite Standley, 58, of Big Rapids, passed away Friday, September 24, 2010, at Mecosta County Medical Center. She was born April 6, 1952, in Great Falls, Montana, the daughter of Donald and Juanita (Curran) Standley, and graduated from Cascade (MT) High School in 1970. Joy moved to Hersey in 1997, and has lived in the area ever since. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Surviving are 1 brother Gary Standley of Cascade, MT; 2 sisters, Debbie Todd of Hersey, and Melody (Joe) Diehl of Littleton, CO; 14 nieces and nephews; and her kitten Chubby. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Rodney and Doug. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1325 Woodward Avenue in Big Rapids, with President Reinhold Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery in Hersey. Memorial contributions for the American Cancer Society may be left at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, where Joys family will greet friends on Sunday from 2-5 p.m., and prior to services on Monday.
