? ? ? ? ? Mecosta She was born September 2, 1930 in Arista, West Virginia, the daughter of Marion Sam and Thelma (Akers) Wiley of Westland. Joyce grew up in West Virginia and Wayne, MI. She will be deeply missed by David Vernon Hortemiller, her husband of 62 years, also of Wayne. The Hortemillers lived in Florida and South Carolina for over 40 years before returning to Michigan. Joyce was preceded in death by their son, David, Jr. Besides her husband, Joyce is survived by two daughters, Stephanie (Royce) King of Pawleys Island, SC and Sherrie (Dan) Percy of Smyrna, GA, four grandchildren, Joan (Daniel) Ilagan, Mandy (Will) Davis, Stacy (Chad) Upson and Sam (Jean) Percy, nine great grandchildren, Isabella, Grace, Amanda Joy,and Charlotte Ilagan, Stephanie and Ida Davis, Brianna and Connor Upson, and Hayden Percy. Also surviving are two brothers, Marion (Margaret) Wiley of Garden City, and James (Pat) Wiley of Marietta, GA A memorial mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Remus, MI. Joyces family will greet friends and relatives following the service. A special thank you is extended to Sharon and Brenda Sue, Melissa, Debi and Jim with Hospice for their care during Joyces illness. Arrangements are by the Mohnke Funeral Home, Big Rapids, Michigan.
