Joyce Ruth Ann Keels' Obituary
Edmore-Joyce Ruth Ann Keels, age 79, of Edmore passed away at her home on Friday, January 8, 2021. She was born in Rolland Township on March 7, 1941, the daughter of Charles and Vernice (Cook) Manning. Joyce was raised in the Millbrook area where she attended Blanchard High School and graduated with the class of 1959. She also went on to further her education at Montcalm Community College. Joyce was a homemaker and stay at home mother to her four children. She was a member of the Edmore Full Gospel Church and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, listening to oldies music and traveling. Most of all she loved and treasured her family and the time she spent with them.
Joyce will forever be missed and is survived by her children, Machelle (David Jenkins) Keels of Coleman, Crissie (Jason) Thorn of Coleman, Patri (Linda) Keels of Millbrook; grandchildren, Diana, Michael, Ryan, Damian, Destiny, Dylan, Shayla, Ella Jo; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Keels in 2017; and her siblings, Betty Jones, Margene Dean, Nora Cummings, Darlene Manning, AJ Manning and Merlyn Manning.
A Celebration of Joyce's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the Edmore Full Gospel Church, with Pastor Sue O'Bryan officiating. The family will greet friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
