Joyce E. Linton's Obituary
Joyce Elaine (Fields) Linton, age 87, of Edmore, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Lakeview Terrace in Lakeview, Michigan. Joyce was born on December 16, 1933 at home in Vestaburg, the daughter of Glenn and Viola (Nielsen) Field. She was raised in Vestaburg and Edmore where she attended Edmore High School, graduating Class of 1951. Joyce fell in love and married her childhood friend Robert Joseph Linton on May 10, 1952 at the Methodist Church Parsonage. Joyce was an Avon Representative for over 40 years retiring in 1995. She enjoyed cross stitch, knitting, camping, and traveling. She loved her family and friends and was active in her church. She was a member of the Gleaners, Our Saviors Lutheran Church, and the Red Hats Society.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; and one son Kevin Russell Linton who passed away at age 8; one sister Janice Bailey; and one sister-in-law Charlotte Fields.
Joyce will be missed by her husband Robert Linton of Edmore; children, Randy (Carol) Linton of Edmore, and Penny Martin of Pinckney; grandchildren, Jennifer Marden, Corey (Dana) Martin, and William Linton; great-grandchildren, Tristan, Brecklyn, Carter, and Madison; siblings, Robert (Loreen) Field of Edmore, Bruce Fields of Florida, and Alan (Sue) Field of Grand Rapids; several nieces, nephews, and church family.
The family will accept friends for visitation on Tuesday, October
12, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore, MI and on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Noon until the start of the funeral at 1:00 P.M. all at the funeral home. A luncheon will be held at the Faith United Methodist Church in Edmore following the burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Alma, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a contribution in Joyce's memory are asked to consider Spectrum Health Hospice or Lakeview Terrace for their exemplary care of Joyce.
