Joyce F. Lloyd's Obituary
Big Rapids Joyce F. Lloyd, 75, of Reed City, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009, at South Bend Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana. She was born February 16, 1934, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, the daughter of Claude A. and Ruby (Arnold) Cooper. Joyce was an LPN at Reynolds Army Hospital in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, until moving to the Reed City area in 1972, where she continued her nursing career until retirement. Joyce is survived by 4 daughters, Lorrie (Mike) Routley of Vandalia, Delores (Dan) Dressler of Edwardsburg, Ruth (Jeff) Cole of Reed City, and Jame (Bill) Mathews of Snyder, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, LaRoss (Margaret) Cooper of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Bill (Judy) Cooper of Carrollton, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. Joyce was also preceded in death by 3 husbands, James Brush, Phillip Potter, and Merle Lloyd. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with Pastor Martha Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the Stanwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for the American Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home, where Joyces family will greet friends tomorrow (Tuesday) from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and prior to services on Wednesday.
