Joyce A Sredersas' Obituary
Joyce Arlene Sredersas, 81 of Mecosta, MI, passed away July, 3rd, 2022 at home with family by her side. She was born, May 31st, 1941, in Grand Rapids, MI, to Stanley & Marvel (Blonshine) DeMott.
Joyce retired from Parker Hannifin with 25 years of service. After retirement she spent much of her time with family; gardening with her husband, Kast, and canning their fruits and vegetables. In her free time, she loved to crochet blankets and knit hats for her family and friends, and to donate the children's hats to Devos Children's Hospital. Watching the birds always uplifted Joyce’s spirit and brought her a sense of calm. But spending time with her children and grandchildren, filled her soul with pure joy.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Richard (Retha) Demott, Gail (Buck) Patton, and Cecil DeMott.
Left to cherish her caring memory are her loving husband of 63 years, Kast Sredersas, son Craig Sredersas of Mecosta; son and daughter-in-law, Larry Sredersas (Shawn) of Mecosta; Daughter, Aimee Newcombe of Mecosta; her nephew, who she raised like a son, Russell (Leanne) DeMott of Grand Ledge; seven grandchildren, Erick, Ian, Evan, Natalie, Avery, Emmett & Ethan; six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She will be sorely missed by all whom loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm and undying love and caring for them.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held, in lieu of a service, at a later date, which will be announced to family and friends.
