Joyce Ann Stickler's Obituary
Lakeview-Joyce Ann Stickler, age 83, of Lakeview passed away, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born to Torrance and Mildred (Paris) Taylor on October 8, 1940, in Lakeview where she was also raised. Joyce attended Lakeview Community Schools, graduating with the Class 1959. She married the love of her life, Richard "Dick" Stickler on October 24, 1959. Joyce was employed by Gibsons Refrigerator in Greenville for 18 years before her retirement in 2000. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crochet, camping, traveling and spending winters in Florida with Dick. Joyce will be remembered as a loving wife and mother who had a kind heart, a quick smile and a twinkle in her eyes. She was a member of the Windy Corners Women's Club and the Eastern Star in Six Lakes. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Donald) Pellow of Sidney, Kristy (Mark Jr.) Taylor of Lakeview; grandchildren, Joshua (Jennifer) Pellow of Lake City, Jessica (Jordan) Oberlin of Six Lakes, Ashley (Riley) Taylor of Grand Rapids, Jared (Keelie) Taylor of Lakeview; great-grandchildren, Logan Pellow, Karsen Taylor, Jameson Oberlin, and 2 on the way; brother Joe Taylor of Edwardsburg; sisters-in-law, Delores Raglin and Carol Childres both of Blanchard. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dick in 2022; and her parents Torrence and Mildred. A Celebration of Joyce's life will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Richard Taylor officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
