Juanita B. Standley's Obituary
Hersey Juanita B. Standley, 86, of Hersey, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at Metron of Big Rapids. She was born March 11, 1921, in Kiowa, Kansas, the daughter of John and Edna (Dillsaver) Curran. As a child, she moved with her family to Poulsen, Montana, where she graduated from high school. On May 25, 1938, she married Donald Bill Standley in Poulsen, and they moved to Helena to work on the Green Meadow Farm. Following this, they moved to Cascade, MT, where they actively ranched until retiring in 1997. Juanita was a member of the Cascade United Methodist Church and the Castner Falls Home Demonstration Club. Bill preceded Juanita in death in 1997, and she moved to Hersey in 1999 to live with her daughter Debbie and grandson Blake. Surviving are 2 sons, Gary Standley of Cascade, MT, Douglas (Cindy) Standley of Ft. Shaw, MT; 3 daughters, Joy Standley of Big Rapids, Debbie Todd of Hersey, and Melody (Joe) Diehl of Littleton, CO; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son Rodney Standley, 1 sister and 4 brothers. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 18th, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with Pastor Gary deBock officiating. Committal services and entombment will take place at the Hillcrest Lawn Mausoleum in Great Falls, Montana. Juanitas family will greet friends at the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
