June Marie Kimball's Obituary
Edmore-June Marie Kimball, age 90, of Six Lakes passed away at her home on Friday, March 17, 2023. She was born in Lakeview on May 18, 1932, the daughter of Fredrick and Ruth (Delmater) Eckert. June was raised in Six Lakes. After finishing school, she became a nurse aide and was well known for taking care of people. She had 3 children with her first husband, Leo Lemire. After Leo passed, she married Lyle Kimball, on July 22, 1956, in Ludington. Together they would welcome one more child. June was active for over 70 years at the Six Lakes Bible Missionary Church. She found great joy in entertaining her family and friends. June sang alto, while she played piano or organ. She often asked her family to sing, just so she could listen to their voices. June liked to paint, craft, and fish as well. June is survived by her children, Jonathan (Darla) Kimball of Jennings, LA, Carlos Melendez of Six Lakes, Jeffery (Victoria) Lemire of Six Lakes, Lynne (Dewey) Murray of Six Lakes; grandchildren, Benjamin (Esther) Kimball, Melissa (Josh) Warner, Danae Kimball, Katelyn Kimball, Kristina (Lynn) Maggert, Harmoni Holmes, Heidi (Nathan) Easley, Zachary (Heather) Holmes, Jeffery (Ramona) Lemire Jr., Andrea (Matthew) Lupo, Leo Joseph (Stephanie) Lemire II, Nancy (Nate) Dishong, Matthew (Melissa) Murray, Patrick (Alana) Murray, Leighton (Jill) Murray, Lestie (Katiso) Mofokeng; great-grandchildren, Austin, Dawson, Isla, Miles, Zachary, Silas, Ellie, Landon, Levi, Emmett, Zach, Jackson, Abigail, Gavin, Alex, Jeffery Lemire III, David, Jaqueline, Alma, Mila, Courtney, Lane, Jamin, Noah, Mahlah, Bethany, Blake, Brady, Brennan, Allyson, Khensiani, Natasha, Brooklyn, Ian; great-great-grandchildren, Judah, Alexis, Kaitlyn, Caleb, Julianna, Emeric, Ezra, Calen, Colton, Braelyn; brother, John (Alice) Eckert of Noblesville, IN; and sister-in-law, Lucille Eckert of Plainwell. She was preceded in death by husband, Leo in 1953 and then Lyle in 2021; a daughter, Terri Melendez; parents, Milan and Ruth; and siblings, George, James, Elmer, Gale, Ronald, Lawrence, Lloyd, Betty and one still born brother. Funeral services for June will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Rock Lake Bible Methodist Church in Vestaburg with Pastor Blake Jones and Andrew Harner officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Six Lakes. The family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Rock Lake Bible Methodist Church for a visitation.
