June Marie Pollard's Obituary
June Marie Pollard, loving wife, great mother and wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Spectrum Health- Reed City, at the age of 79. Cremation will take place with no services to follow.
June was born May 30, 1935, the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Wills) LaLonde. She married the love of her life, James, on March 3, 1953 and together the two grew their family to include five children. Her hobbies and interests included gardening, spending time with her family and friends, gambling, and bossing around her husband. She was an avid bowler and golfer and even mentored young boys in the Canadian Lakes area in golf. In her younger years, she would always be sure to attend her children’s track meets and would go equipped with a cooler big enough to feed the entire team. She was also on the school board during the years her kid’s were in high school (which they thought was great).
June truly loved life to the fullest (especially when she had her Bud Light in hand).
Compassionate, fun, competitive and loving were all words used to describe June.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, James; son, John (Linda) Pollard; daughters, Jamie (Steven) Schehr, Jacqueline ( Daniel) Davis and Janene ( Steven Chell) Takayama; three brothers; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, James H. Jr.
