Kary Charles Frank's Obituary
On May 8, Kary Frank, born November 30, 1948, left what he called "the waiting room," and was welcomed Home by his parents Jerry and Joyce, his siblings Delores, Jonnie, and Cindy - and Granny. Remaining family includes his wife Shirley (Bongard), children Jared, Austin, Tyler, and Adrienne, and siblings Joe (Donna), Jim, Claudia, and Colette.
A man of varied interests, Kary earned licenses as a builder, a pilot, a business broker, and a driver (at age 15). He earned four post-secondary degrees, culminating in a law degree from the University of Arkansas, and became a member of the State Bar of Michigan. An endless problem solver, he served as a go-to for many friends and was also a volunteer defense counsel for the West Michigan Regional Sobriety Court. His travels took him from the Peace Corps in Barbados to the U.S. Army Arctic Test Center in Alaska to driving/hitchhiking with friends across the country.
