Katherine Ann Allen's Obituary
Katherine “Kate” Ann Allen, age 81, peacefully passed away at her home February 19, 2015, with family by her side. Kate was born August 26, 1933, the daughter of Thornton and Ruth (Renwick) Densmore. She married the love of her life, Maxwell Allen in 1955 and together they grew their family to include four children. In her earlier years, Kate enjoyed playing on a basketball and softball team with friends. Some of her hobbies included gardening, canning and baking. She was always sure to have freshly baked cookies waiting for guests that came to visit, especially her grandchildren.
Loving, passionate and giving were words used to describe Kate. She had a great love for life and always wanted to make others happy.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of nearly 60 years, Maxwell; children, Kaye (David) Spencer, Stuart (Shelia) Allen, Paul (Nanette) Allen and Kent (Lorri) Allen; brother, Grant (Doris) Densmore; grandchildren, David, Autumn, Tristan, Ryan, Alyssa, Lucas, Carson, Jennifer and Justine; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
