Kathleen Harriet Napper's Obituary
Big Rapids - Kathleen Harriet Napper, 86, died Thursday, September 22, 2011. She was born in Washington, Michigan on April 15, 1925 the daughter of Walter and Harriet Alward. She married George Fletcher Napper on June 19, 1948. Kate was a longtime resident of Warren, MI, moved back to her hometown of Washington, MI and more recently resided with her daughter in Morley, MI. She was a school crossing guard in Warren for 18 years and later worked at Alward's Market in Washington, MI. She recently enjoyed volunteering at St. Peter's Lutheran School in Big Rapids, MI. Kate is survived by her daughter Sue Lyn (Bill) Kehoe; grandchildren, Cara (Ben) Ferrell, Scotty (Morgan) Kehoe and Kelly (Kehaulani) Kehoe; great grandchildren Rhys and Connor Kehoe; siblings, Betty Bock, William (Helen) Alward, Gerald (Myrtle Ann) Alward; sister-in-law Shirley Alward; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband George Fletcher, sons Ronald and Charles, brother Walter (Dugan) Alward and four sisters, Marguerite Bromley, Arla Robb, Shirley Schmitt and Joann Anger. Memorial arrangements are being planned for a later date in Washington.
