Kathleen Phyllis Mack's Obituary
Kathleen Phyllis (Hansen) Mack, aged 90, went to be with the Lord on April 30, 2023.She was married to Valgene Mack for 58 years. Val passed away in 2009.Everyone called her Katy. She graduated from Edmore High School in 1950 and received a teaching certificate from County Normal School in 1951. In 1969 she became an LPN from Montcalm Community College. In 1978 she received an Associate in General Studies from Montcalm Community College. Katy had also been the Parish Nurse at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Edmore.Val and Katy had two sons, Daniel (Robin) Mack and Michael (Sharon) Mack; three grandchildren, Michelle (Victor) Plath, Emily (Ryan) Metzger, and David (Stephanie) Mack; four great-grandchildren, Sydney Plath, Ethan Metzger, Owen Metzger and Benjamin Mack.Katy loved her family and friends. She liked to fish, read and travel. She went to Europe twice. Katy loved to cook for family and friends. She always added an extra plate for anyone who was alone on a holiday.The family would like to give a warm, heartfelt thank you to the staff at Lakeview Terrace Assisted Living and Interim Hospice for all their loving care for Katy. She touched many lives there.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 530 W. Howard City-Edmore Rd, Edmore, MI. Visitation with the family will be at 11:00am followed by the memorial service at noon.
