Lakeview-Kathryn "Kathy" Nora Martin, age 73, of Morley passed away at the Corewell Health Meijer Heart Center on Thursday, January 30, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born in Big Rapids on December 9, 1951, to Vernon and Arlene (Tompkins) Louck. Kathy was raised in the Morley area where she attended and graduated from Morley Community schools. She married her main squeeze John James Martin at their home on May 18, 1990.Kathy took pride in creating a safe and loving home where she cared for her children, grandchildren, and eventually great-grandchildren. The time she spent keeping food in bellies, school and sport schedules running, books captivating, and the "regular days" anything but, were measured by smiles on faces. She instilled a life-long love for live music in the girls' hearts by packing everyone into her jeep and heading to the much-treasured B93 Birthday Bash for an annual girl's weekend. Kathy took pleasure in tending her flower garden, butterflies, shopping, and camping. If you were one of the lucky ones, you'll remember personal phone calls from Kathy lasting longer than a country mile.
