Kay Lyn Neller's Obituary
Edmore-Kay Lyn (McKimmy) Neller, age 64, of Edmore passed away at her home, on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. She was born in Lansing on October 26, 1955, the daughter of Earl and Rose (LeFevre) McKimmy. Kay was raised in Lansing and St. Johns and graduated from Lansing Everett High School with the class of 1973. She worked as a teacher in St. Johns on and off for over 30 years. She taught gymnastics at the Muse theater in Lakeview, and was a cook at The Hitching Post and The Crystal Fountain. She met Lynn Neller while she was working at the Hitching Post. After being friends for more than 20 years, they tied the knot on September 4, 2013 in Las Vegas. Kay enjoyed cleaning, crafts, drawing, wood burning, fishing, tending flower beds, atv rides, cooking, traveling and camping. She especially loved spending time with family and spoiling her granddaughter.
Kay is survived by her husband, Lynn; her son, Eric (Charity) Sproul of Mecosta; her granddaughter, Layla Kay Sproul; her siblings, Diane (Lonnie) VanPatten of Atlanta, MI and Christine (John) Vaughn of Sydney, Michigan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Rose; the father of her son, Melvin Sproul; and her brother Daniel McKimmy.
A memorial service will be held for Kay at 1:00 PM Monday, February 17, 2020 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore, with Pastor John Martin officiating. The family will greet friend from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
