Kenneth Charles Conklin's Obituary
Kenneth C Conklin, age 70, of Six Lakes passed away peacefully at his home on December 14, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Ken was born in Sheridan, Michigan on May 29, 1952, the youngest child of Leslie and Wannettie (Musson) Conklin. Surviving Ken are his sisters, Sharon Bogart, Sheila (Mike) Smith; brothers, Jim Conklin, Larry (Jane) Conklin; many, many nieces and nephews; His longtime friends, Leroy and Linda (M-Munchkin) Keeler, friends, Randy and Brenda Sexton and his cat Callie. In his last month he really enjoyed his visits from his little great great nieces, Thea and Avah. Ken held many jobs but his passion was truck driving. He also loved to deer hunt with his nephew Scott, the last time they hunted he gave himself a black eye. Ken loved to eat and he really loved going to his niece Nettie's house (Chris and Lewis Patch) this year for Thanksgiving, enjoying family and food. Ken also loved to play Clue with his sister Sheila, always saying that she cheated but he really knew she was the all-time champ. He loved his Church and Church family enjoying many good times and bible study with Lana and Katie. He was proceeded in Heaven by his parents, sisters, Helen Messer, Karen Grieb and his dogs Buddy and Jake. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 3:00pm at the Cedar Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Jacob Gibbs officiating.
