Kevin "Kev" Lynn Jack's Obituary
Lakeview-Kevin "Kev" Lynn Jack, age 52, of Lakeview passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Kev was born on April 26, 1968 in Stanwood, the son of Wayne and Sally (Venlet) Jack. He was raised in the Morley and Lakeview areas and attended Lakeview Community Schools. Kev was employed by Ventra in Grand Rapids for over 30 years. He started as a "temp" and was hired on working his way thru the plant, running machines, die setting, material handling, the tool room and die repair. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, mushrooming, wrestling with his dog and tinkering. When he was young, he had his own shed where he would take bicycles apart and put them back together. He also enjoyed playing basketball with his cousins. He loved being outdoors and traveling to out of state expos with his friend Brad. Kev was a father to the fatherless. He selflessly took care of his family and truly loved them all.
Kev will forever be missed and is survived by his mother, Sally Jack of Lakeview; his brothers and sisters, Teresa (Mark) Maxfield of Lakeview, Duane (Lynett) Jack of Lakeview, Steven (Kristina) Jack of Trufant, Jennifer Jack of Lakeview; his nieces and nephews, who he was very close to, Christopher and Daniel (Talisa) Maxfield, Curtis Cole, Amber, Ashley, Kyler, Tarik, Emily and Megan Jack; his special friend, Brad Anderson; his dog, Scooby; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Jack.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the Hinton Township Cemetery, 90th Avenue, Lakeview with Pastor Roger Cooper officiating. A light luncheon in the banquet room at Brigham Funeral Chapel will follow the interment.
The family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, June 26, 2020 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the family to be used toward his nieces' and nephews' college educations.
