Lanette Jo Pittenger's Obituary
Lanette Jo Pittenger, age 55 of Mecosta, passed away at her home Friday, December 25, 2015 surrounded by family. Cremation will take place with no service to follow.
Lanette was born January 19, 1960, the daughter of Lewis and Jean (Hosler) Fountain. She married the love of her life, Jack, on November 12, 1983.
Lanette was always there to listen when someone needed to talk, and always worried more about others than herself, no matter what she had going on in her life. She was a dedicated worker at Mark IV Automotive in Big Rapids, and even more recent, at Big Rapids Products where she made some great friends.
She enjoyed gardening, pontoon rides on the lake and going to the casino. There were a couple times when she told Jack she was “looking at furniture” when in reality, she was going to the casino.
Lanette lived for the time spent with family, especially her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Thoughtful, caring and loving were all words used to describe her.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 32 years, Jack; sons, Brian (Jodie) Fountain and Joe Pittenger; siblings, Lynda, Larry, Luanna, Lonna, Lenny, Lee and Layne; grandchildren, Alexis, Peyton and Baby Nash and her beloved dog, J.J.
Lanette was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, Barny Pittenger.
