Larry Carl Carter's Obituary
Reed City - Larry Carl Carter, 68, of Reed City, formerly of Riverdale, passed away peacefully December 19, 2020 at Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital.
He was born January 19, 1952 in Flint, MI, the son of Jesse and Dorothy (Dunkel) Carter.
Larry worked for Lobdell Emery in Alma, Mi for 25 years. He enjoyed working with his friends Denny and Darryl doing side jobs. Larry loved watching western movies and listening to classic country music. He enjoyed going to dances every weekend with his friends, and loved spending time with his sisters and many nieces and nephews with whom he loved dearly. Larry loved going to his sisters for big family dinners, laughing and talking for hours about old times. He was a member of the Clare Moose Lodge 2268.
Larry is survived by his children, Tammy Carter (Andrew), Mark Carter, Larry Carter Jr, and Gerald (Stella) Carter; his sisters Sharon (Jesse) Rodriguez and Judy Cristan; 7 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including nephew Charlie Henderson; a special great nephew Benny; and a very special friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gerald (Jerry) Carter, wife Sharon Carter and special nephews, Joe and Sam Rodriguez.
Larry's family would like to thank Spectrum Health hospital and Hospice for the care he received during his time there.
A memorial will be held at a later date in the spring.
