Laura Faye Cairns' Obituary
Edmore-Laura Faye (Patton) Cairns, age 60, of Edmore passed away at her home on Friday, November 19, 2021. She was born in Grand Rapids on December 10, 1960, to Clarence and Gail (Demott) Patton. She was raised in the Grand Rapids area where she attended Union High School graduating in 1978. Laura married the love of her life Robert Cairns Sr. on June 10, 1977, at the home of Laura's parents. She had a smile and laugh that were infectious and loved spending time with her family especially the grandchildren. Laura lived in many places before settling back to Michigan. Missouri, Germany, California, and Hawaii to name a few. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, playing cards, and dice. Christmas was her favorite holiday because giving gifts was what she enjoyed most.
Laura will be missed by her husband, Robert; children, Robert (Angela) Cairns of Sparta, Russell (Miranda) Cairns of Sparta, Ryan (Sarah) Cairns of Lambertville, Ricky of Edmore; grandchildren Michael, Shylee, Sierra, Saydee, Ian, Wolfgang, Nalani, Kelcie, Norman, Jack, Hailey; a few great-grandchildren; brother, Gordon Patton of Paris; sisters, Kellie Patton of Grand Haven Mi, Barbara (Rodney) McFall of Grand Rapids.
She is preceded in death by both her parents.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 24, at 1:00pm at the Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Bob Jones officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:00am until the time of service.
