Lenabelle E. Schoenborn's Obituary
Big Rapids-Lenabelle E. Schoenborn, age 102, went to be with her Lord on Sunday May 8, 2011. She was born in Mecosta County on January 31, 1909, the daughter of John and Beatrice (Leonard) Dare. Lenabelle is survived by four children, Marilyn (Lew) Doughtery of White Cloud, Kenneth (Judy) Schoenborn of Morley, Joan Bitner of Grayling, Marsha Schoenborn of Big Rapids, 20 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Ruth Tribe of Big Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Schoenborn, to whom she was married for 67 years, four children, Albert, Paul and Al Schoenborn, and one daughter Nina Farnham, three grandchildren, Nancy Bitner and two infants. Also preceding her in death were four brothers, Bill, George, Clifford and Eldie Dare plus two sisters, Betty Mursh and Irene Yax. Lenabelle had been a member of the Big Rapids Free Methodist Church for over 25 years. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 12, 2011 at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Peter Kadar officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Pine Plains Cemetery Memorial contributions may be made to "In Home Hospice". Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
