Leola Belle Thomas' Obituary
Edmore- Leola Belle Thomas, age 91, passed away at her home in Stanton, on March 16, 2021. She was born in Butternut, Michigan on December 9, 1929 to Ernest and Orilla (Wadle) Parrish. Leola was raised in the Carson City area where she attended Carson City Schools. Leola was married to Coy Melvin Allen on November 22, 1946 before his passing on April 28, 1967. She remarried Wayne Henry Thomas August 16, 1968 before his passing March 5, 1985. She was a member of Life of Christ Church, and enjoyed cooking, embroidery, bead work, camping, bingo, and traveling.
Leola is survived by her children, Maxine (Dale) Wiggins of Vestaburg, Donna (Gordon) Ellis of Springfield, Ohio, Coy (Connie) Allen of Stanton, Lillian (Rick) Brooks of Stanton; 27 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; 58 great great grandchildren; brother, Ronald (Connie) Parrish of Pomroy, WA.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Coy and Wayne; son, Lonnie Allen; 3 daughters, Casandra Allen, Doris Allen, Shirley Wiggins; sisters, Vercile Hevel, Flossie Perry, Lillian Harlow, Donelda Ashbury; brothers, Roland Parrish, Carl Parrish, Fernon Parrish, Richard Parrish, Lloyd Parrish, Harold Parrish, Berdette Parrish
Funeral services for Leola will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore with Pastor Richard Jolliff officiating. The Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 5-7 PM at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore. The interment will take place at the Ferris Center Cemetery in Vestaburg, Michigan.
