Lillian E. Serrano's Obituary
Big Rapids - Lillian E. Serrano, age 84, of Big Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 2, 2012. She was born January 10, 1927, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Charles and Mabel Carr. Throughout her life, Lillian was deeply involved with community and church. She volunteered extensively and received many awards for her involvement. Over the years she was also involved in different mission activities, acting on church mission boards and volunteering for five years at McCeudy Mission School in New Mexico. Her fundraising efforts raised many dollars for her favorite charities. Lillian is survived by her husband Adonais J. Serrano to whom she has been married since 1992, two daughters Martine (Marc) Fiting and Maureen Kubitskey, both of Big Rapids, seven grand children and fourteen great grandchildren. Also surviving are five stepchildren. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. A memorial service for Lillian will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church in Big Rapids, with Pastor Rebecca Morrison officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to WISE or Cran-Hill Ranch.
