Lilly Luella May Dodge's Obituary
Lilly Luella May Dodge, aged 9, of Hesperia, Michigan, sadly and unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, with her beloved mother, Angel, passing alongside her.
Lilly was born on January 2, 2016, in Grand Rapids, to proud parents Sean Dodge and Angel Patton. A third-grader at Hesperia Elementary with a bright and creative spirit, Lilly was known for her love of crafts and her talent as a young artist, creating beautiful drawings. She shared a passion for reading with her mother and
enjoyed making YouTube videos. Though she was quiet by nature, Lilly had a joyful love for music, a fondness for dressing up, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.
Lilly is survived by her father, Sean Dodge; grandmothers Geraldine Dyer and Sunday Piper; siblings, Fawn (Jeffrey) Howard, Amber (Emanuel) Mwingira, and Scott Patton Jr.; nieces and nephews, Serenity, Vinzent, Audria, and Darius. She also leaves behind several dear special friends, numerous aunts, uncles, extended family members, and her classmates.
Lilly’s spirit entered heaven with her mother, Angel, holding her hand, where the two of them were met by Lilly’s grandfather Fred Dyer and her sister Brittney Patton.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests prayers and donations to help cover funeral expenses. A private burial for Angel and Lilly will be held at Pierson Township Cemetery, where her sister Brittney rests.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of support during this time of immense grief.
