Linda Jane Burnes' Obituary
Linda Jane Burnes, age 64, of Big Rapids passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Spectrum Hospital Blodgett Campus. She was born September 14, 1949 in Big Rapids, the daughter of Robert and Verena (Hotchkiss) Burnes. Linda is survived by two sisters, Nancy Elaine (Ervin Chester "Skip") Slendak of Stanwood and Carol (Paul) Hillman of Rockford; five nieces, Carmen Jean (Alex) Stevens, June Slendak, Anne Marie Hillman, Renee Wesley Hillman, and Eve Emily Hillman; as well as many friends and acquaintances. She was preceded in death by her parents. Our sister and friend has gone home with God and her parents. She was a world traveler, friend to more people than you can count, and aunt extraordinaire to 5 nieces. She was a lover of trips, family, and Ferris State University. Please join us to celebrate her wondrous life at 10:30 a.m. on Friday January 3, 2014 at Big Rapids First United Methodist Church. There we will praise God in her name for the gifts she gave this world. Amen
