Linda Marie Ricord's Obituary
Linda Marie Ricord, 72, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on September 4, 1953, the daughter of Donald Van Antwerp and Virginia Ann (Kowalawski) Van Antwerp.
Linda built a career in sales, specializing in modular homes, and was known for her dedication and warm personality. Linda grew up in Plainfield, also lived in Howard City, Lake Isabella, and stayed in Zephyrhillis, Florida during the winter. She was an active member of the VFW Auxiliary 8154 and the Moose Lodge in Zephyrhillis, where she enjoyed giving her time and support.
A woman with a generous heart, Linda delighted in fishing, gardening, painting, and tending to her flowers. She was always up for a good yard sale and cherished time spent with family and friends. Above all, she loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother, and nothing brought her more joy than caring for and supporting those she loved. Helping others was simply part of who she was.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Christopher) Marie Ann Frayre and Jammie Lynn Marie Brandt; her brother, Martin Van Antwerp; and her sisters, Betty (Paul) Snyder, Mary (Tom) Tolsma, and Alice (Clayton) Pickerd. Step-son Gary (Cindy) Riesenbeck. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Brooklyn, Kaylee, Sara, Dustin, and Justin Brandt; Nicholas and Emma Carlson; and Nikki, Brienne, and Johan Riesenbeck; Jozefien Rae Marie Sabin, Jayda Rae, Zaine, Brayden Riesenbeck, and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Virginia Van Antwerp; her husbands, Johan Riesenbeck and Alan Ricord; and her brother, Larry Van Antwerp.
Linda will be remembered for her giving spirit, her caring and loving nature, and her deep devotion to her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Linda will be held on Sunday October 12, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Lakeview VFW Post 3701, 506 South Lincoln Road, Lakeview, Michigan 48850.
