Lois May Gross' Obituary
Grandville - Lois May Gross, 92, of Grandville, formerly of Big Rapids, passed away December 28, 2020 at Brookcrest Nursing Center in Grandville.
She was born January 8, 1928, in Big Rapids the daughter of Ernest and Dorothy (Graboskey) Fredrick, and attended Big Rapids High School.  Lois lived in Big Rapids her entire life until moving to Grand Rapids in 2017 to live with her daughter.
Lois was unbelievably entertaining!  She loved to yodel, whistle, and dance, and could spin an endless tale on any subject.  Anyone who met her adored her, and thought that she was a hoot!
Lois is survived by her children, Denny (Sue) Gross, Al (Sallie) Gross, Robert Gross, Chuck (Jane) Gross, Deb (Jim) Walter, and Cheryl (Walt) Nelson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, including two special granddaughters Cecilia (Justin) Mund, (with whom she resided with for ten months), and Jamie Nelson-Burton, who both showed their grandma Lois much love and compassion in her final years.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter and son-in-law Dianna and William Smith, her son Gary Thomas Gross, her sister Barbara Pettit, and her brother Ronald Fredrick.
Family services and committal will take place in the Crapo Cemetery in Green Township.  A memorial service will be held in Big Rapids in Spring of 2021.  Memorial contributions in her name may be made for ARC (Animal Rescue Coalition) of Mecosta County.
