Lakeview - Louise Kay Perez, age 70, of Lakeview passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 20th, 2023. Louise was born on May 19th, 1953, in Lakeview. The daughter of Jack and Phyllis (Wheeler) Knapp. She was raised in Amble and graduated from Lakeview in 1973. Louise was a member of Cornerstone Worship Center in Vestaburg who looked forward to attending Sunday morning services and singing in her church. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, reading novels, fishing, shopping with her daughter, traveling to the upper peninsula, camping, and going to the casino. Louise especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandson, visiting with family and friends, and hanging out with her dog Sparky.Louise is survived by her children Lisa (Bill) Moody of Blanchard, Marty Perez of Lakeview; grandchildren Quentin Moody of Indiana, Austin Perez of Lakeview, Samantha Perez of Lakeview; great grandson Luca Moody of Blanchard; best friend forever Mark Maguire of Lakeview; siblings Kurt (Vickie) Knapp of Amble, Betty (Kirk) Voorhees of Amble, Bruce Knapp of Amble, Janice Allen of Lakeview; sister-in-law Vickie Knapp of Amble, many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog Sparky.Louise was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter Ashley Lynn Tice; nephew Phillip Voorhees; brother Darrell Knapp; sister-in-law Denise Knapp; and brother-in-law Rickey Allen Sr.Funeral services for Louise will take place on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 1 PM at the Brigham funeral chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Don Wolf officiating. The family will receive friends and family on Monday July 24, 2023, from 4-7 pm at the funeral chapel. Interment will follow at Amble Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at the Brigham funeral chapel. The family asks that memorial contributions be made in memory of Louise Perez to ProMedica Hospice of Mount Pleasant Michigan.
