Louise B Ray's Obituary
Louise B. Ray, age 89, of Crystal, formerly of Blanchard, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2019 at Rosewood Assisted Living in Ithaca, MI. She was born July 17, 1930 in Lakeview, the daughter of Kelson and Sallie Arnett. Louise was a graduate of Lakeview High School with the class of 1948.
On September, 22, 1948 she married James C. Ray. Together they raised one son, Gregory, and enjoyed 66 years of marriage until J. C passed away in 2015. Louise was also preceded in death by her parents and eight of her siblings. She is survived by her son, Gregory (Rena) of Crystal, two step-grandchildren and their families, a sister, Alice, and several nieces and nephews.
Louise was a homemaker on the family farm near Blanchard, she also retired after working 17 years for Isabella Bank. She and J. C. enjoyed traveling, and spent many winters at their Florida home. The past few years she enjoyed boat rides and feeding the swans at Crystal Lake until illness required she reside at Rosewood, where Louise received excellent and loving care.
Private graveside services and burial will be held at Pine River Cemetery, Blanchard, MI. with Pastor Dan Barkholz officiating.
A memorial luncheon will be held at Faith United Methodist Church, 833 S. First St., Edmore, on Saturday, November 23, from noon until 2:00 pm.
