Luella May Marrison's Obituary
Holland - Luella May (Wiggins) Marrison, 93, of Holland, formally of Paris, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018, at Vista Springs Hospice Home in Holland.
She was born April 10, 1935, near Reed City, the daughter of Earl and Ida (Eichenberg) Todd, and lived near Paris most of her life. As a young woman, she married Virgil Wiggins of Paris, and the couple enjoyed many happy years until his death in 1976. Luella and Virgil loved music, and for many years they played in a dance band for many local events and receptions.
Following Virgil's death, she was married to Don Marrison for nearly 40 years. Luella loved gardening and spending time on her farm.
Surviving are her daughter Sandy and her husband Terry Van Eyck of West Olive; and several grand- and great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Luella was also preceded in death by her brothers Delbert and John Todd, and her sister Winifred Hope.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with Pastor Devon Herrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Park Hill Cemetery in Green Township. Luella's family will greet friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Memorial contributions in her name may be made for Hospice of Holland, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
