Lyle George Beardsley's Obituary
Edmore-Lyle George Beardsley, age 84, of Sumner passed away at the Laurels of Carson City on Wednesday, October 2, 2019. He was born in Jackson on January 8, 1935, the son of George and Florence (Blaine) Beardsley. He was raised in Edmore and graduated from Edmore High School with the class of 1953. Lyle served his country honorably in United States Navy, retiring after 24 years of service. On November 20, 1972 he married Joyce Elaine Stewart in Zion, IL. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing with his puppies and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Lyle will be deeply missed and is survived by his children, Julie (Glen) Maxfield, Judy (Bob) Fox, Lisa (Jerred) Peterson, Lloyd Beardsley, Karen Beardsley; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and his sister, Betty Beardsley.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Joyce Elaine Beardsley; his parents, George and Florence Beardsley; step daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Robert Jewell; step daughter Sandy Williams; grandson, Glen Jewell; and brother, Colen Beardsley.
Funeral services for Lyle will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 7, 2019 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore with pastor Steve Hale officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until time of service. Interment will follow at Vinewood Cemetery in Edmore.
