Madeline Carol Bovee's Obituary
Edmore- Madeline Carol Bovee, age 78, passed away at her home in Sheridan, on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. She was born in Detroit to Clyde and Margaret Ross on October 28, 1942. She was raised in the Ionia area where she attended Ionia Public Schools, graduating in 1960. She went on to Michigan State University, Chicago Nursing School and Montcalm Community College for nursing. Madeline married James "Jim" Bovee on November 23, 1968 at the Ascension Lutheran Church in East Lansing. Madeline was employed at Yankee and DHS in Lansing, Belding Hospital, Jimlyn Hot Shots where they owned their own business and Benteler Automative where she retired in 2012. She enjoyed flea markets, crocheting, bazaars, yard sales, holiday cooking for her family, cross word puzzles, and anything to keep her mind sharp.
Madeline is survived by her children, Michael R. (Paula) Bovee, Tracie (Bill) Tomlinson and Patricia Gale; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jim; her parents; daughter, Elizabeth Bovee; 1 great grandchild, Kolton Quay; sister, Ruth Elizabeth Ross.
Funeral services for Madeline will be at 3:00pm on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore with grandson James Bovee officiating. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, from 2:00pm until start of service.
