Marc Thomas Bilello's Obituary
Lakeview- Marc Thomas Bilello, age 98, of Lakeview, passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side on May 10, 2018. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on March 24, 1920, the son of John and Lina (Ferraro) Bilello. Marc was raised in Brooklyn and graduated from Brooklyn Public Schools with the class of 1939. He then went to Washington, DC, to work in the Agricultural Department. When WWII started he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served as a maintenance mechanic and instructor working on aircraft, especially the C47 until the end of the war. He then enlisted in the reserve and also served during the Korean War. Air Force training sent him to the Buick plant in Flint, Michigan, where he met Eva Mae Sherwood. They were married on July 16, 1943 in Flint. They settled in Lakeview and Marc worked for Greenville Products as a foreman and supervisor for 34 years. He enjoyed reading and hobby farming, and loved to garden especially tending to his irises. He was a member of the St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Lakeview.
Marc is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Eva Bilello; 2 sons, Michael Bilello or Grand Rapids and Thomas "Tom" (Mayla) Bilello of Grand Rapids; and a daughter-in-law, Kris Bilello of Greenville; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lina Bilello; son, Anthony Bilello; daughter-in-law, Roxie Bilello; and 4 brothers, Anthony, Harry, Gasper, and Joseph "Joey".
Services for Marc will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 11:00 AM, at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Lakeview. Visitation with family will be on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Brigham Funeral Chapel, Lakeview, from 4-7pm. A luncheon will be served following services on Tuesday, in the banquet room at Brigham Funeral Chapel, Lakeview.
